Our Processes and Procedures
What The Fence offers three options — Good, Better, and Best. You choose the option that best fits your budget.
At What The Fence, every single fence, whether it be good, better, or Best, is installed with the highest quality craftsmanship and procedures.
Fences
First, every post is set in concrete at 18″ deep in solid rock, 24″ deep in clay or soft soil, and 36″ deep if it is an 8 ft tall fence.
Second, every 2×4 is ground contact rated for outdoors, and secured with 2 double dipped deck screws per post.
Third, every picket is installed using 6 ring-shank galvanized nails per picket.
Fourth, The entire job site, is cleaned and organized at the end of each day of production, to ensure safety and a steady workflow.
Gates
Our gates are built with a four-sided frame with a cross brace in the middle. All gate hardware is black-painted galvanized steel, secured with hex-head lag bolts.
